Folkestone Festival Proms - Saturday 29th July, 7pm

A wonderful evening is planned at the Leas Cliff Hall, based along the lines of the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, including a specific area for promenaders, giving you a lively patriotic evening of fabulous music.

This will include all your traditional favourites like ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.

Folkestone Symphony (FHOS) and Folkestone Festivals have created this joint venture to bring you this popular evening of music, that was always such a great success back in the 80’s and 90’s, attracting large, appreciative and patriotic audiences.

With increasing tourism and growing facilities very much augmented by the Creative Quarter, putting on an event such as this could well become a very popular annual event on the calendar and become a huge success.

A picnic on the Leas beforehand is being considered, as well as a Firework display after the event.

Money raised will also support the Pilgrims Hospices.

Expect the unexpected for this event!
