Dartford Crossing Dart Charge - Paying for Your Crossing

Charges for vehicles using the Dartford Tunnel or Bridge to cross the Thames between Kent and Essex apply between 6am and 10pm every day, including Christmas and other bank holidays.

The crossing charge depends on the vehicle and account type.  There is a discount for each crossing for any vehicle registered to a pre-paid account.  Accounts can be opened with as little as £10 credit, and can be topped up manually as and when required, or they can be set to automatically top up when the balance falls below a certain point (determined by the account holder).

More than one vehicle can be registered to the same account.

If a vehicle uses the crossing and the registered owner does not have an account, the charge must be paid by midnight the following day.
