Open Days at the Big Cat Sanctuary, Smarden - July 2018


The Big Cat Sanctuary is once again holding its annual Open Days to support our welfare, breeding, conservation and education programmes. The usually tranquil site will open its doors to host four days of family fun, with lots of entertainment for all.

Demolition of the Last Chimney of Kingsnorth Power Station - Thursday 8th March, 10am


The final chimney at Kingsnorth Power Station is due to be demolished on Thursday 8th March at 10am.

Kingsnorth is currently the second tallest structure in Kent after the TV Transmitter Mast at Dover. After its demolition, the second tallest structure will be the Transmitter Mast at Wrotham.

If you'd like to witness the moment when it comes down, choose a viewing point from the map below.  Riverside Country Park is an ideal spot but is likely to be popular with visitors that morning and parking might be difficult.

The Army Parents' Network - New Facebook Page



The Army Parents' Network was launched on 28 Sep as part of national inclusion week.

The aim of the Army Parents Network is to support Serving Army Parents and the Chain of Command by providing access to information, advice and peer support. The Facebook page will promote information on relevant topics (including policy updates and useful articles) and will also act as a forum for individuals to ask questions for other members to provide advice – all questions asked can be posted anonymously at the request of the poster.

This Facebook group is a closed group with access limited to Serving Army personnel only. If you would like to join please answer the two questions when you apply and your application will be authorised. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1199748646820329/
